Introduction of the Tolo Mehr Organization
Tolo Mehr is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization that was founded in 1403 in Kabul Province.
In compliance with the applicable laws of Afghanistan, this organization voluntarily and humanely provides services to people in need. Its activities are carried out without any consideration of political, ethnic, racial, linguistic or regional affiliation.
Tolo Mehr was founded by a group of caring and committed Afghans — people whose hearts are full of compassion and a sense of responsibility toward their homeland, who decided not to remain silent in the face of people’s suffering. We are the children of Afghanistan, and our hearts beat for those who have been hurt the most: for orphans who have no shelter, for widows who have been left alone in hardship, for poor families who struggle with dignity to raise their children, and for women who strive for a better tomorrow.
We could no longer simply wait; we quickly decided to become part of the solution, not just observers of the problems. As Afghans, we are deeply aware of the challenges and needs of our people. We established Tolo Mehr as a humanitarian and community-based organization to respond to the urgent and fundamental needs of society — from distributing emergency food assistance to implementing sustainable empowerment programs.
Our Goals and Mission
Our mission is clear!
To create dignity, support, and sustainable solutions for vulnerable groups in society, including orphans, widows, families in need, newborns, and women working under crisis conditions; so that in the short term we can be effective providers of aid, and in the long term we can offer solid, sustainable solutions. We believe that every Afghan, regardless of poverty or disability, deserves to live with dignity. Our vision is an Afghanistan where no one is forgotten, where compassion turns into action and becomes the foundation for lasting change.
We have come together to lessen suffering, increase smiles, and make the world kinder for those in need.
